Kirsty - Sexy Glam Swimwear Shoot
This was one of the last shoots I did in Durban before my fiancé and I moved to Sydney. I wanted to do something very polished and glamorous, and submit it to one of my favourite magazines, Lions Magazine. The quality of imagery in the mag is really good, so I felt if I could get a couple images into the magazine, I would have achieved something.
We shot late morning to get some high sun and colour in the water. It also creates some hard light which I mixed with flash to give it that glamorous, glossy look.
Kirsty is dancer and owns a dance studio near the town I grew up in. Shooting dancers is awesome because not only do they have great physique, they are also super aware of their body, and how it works, which makes directing a lot easier because you don’t have to show them exactly what pose you want, they can wing it and you will get something cool.
